Can it be fitted to my patio or decking?
In many cases, yes, but the base must be strong, level and suitable for fixing. If the existing surface is not suitable, additional groundwork or support may be required.
How is the structure fixed to the house?
Most systems are fixed to a suitable structural wall using a wall plate and front support posts. During survey, we check fixing points, levels, drainage and access.
Can I customize the size and color of the products?
Yes. Skyline Glass systems are made to measure, with different sizes, layouts, glazing options and colour finishes available to suit each property.
Do I need planning permission?
Many rear verandas and glass rooms can fall under permitted development, but it depends on size, height, location, previous extensions and property type. As a guide, rear single-storey extensions are usually limited to 3m for attached homes and 4m for detached homes, with a maximum height of 4m. We always recommend checking with your local authority before ordering.
How long does installation take?
Most installations take between 2 and 5 days, depending on the size, access, foundations and product type. Larger glass rooms or complex projects may take longer.
Do SkyLine Glass offer installation services?
Yes. We offer supply and installation, including survey, product specification and fitting by experienced installers.
What guarantee do you offer?
Product warranties vary depending on the system, glazing and motorised parts. We confirm the warranty details clearly with every quotation.
Are your systems waterproof?
Our systems are designed for outdoor use with integrated drainage, but performance depends on correct installation, site levels and weather exposure. No outdoor structure should be treated as a fully sealed house extension unless designed as one.
